A bit more about us: As Kent Wedding Celebrants, Katie Keen and Jo Olagboyega specialise in creating unique, bespoke and tailored wedding ceremonies for modern couples. We take wedding ceremonies anywhere, but ‘at home weddings’ are the most fun! Our beautiful county of Kent has some of the most gorgeous wedding venues , from castles and barns to country houses. Some of our favourite places to officiate are The Dreys, Longton Wood, The Ferry House Inn , The Oak Grove and The Secret Garden and of course, “the loveliest castle in the world” – Leeds Castle.

“I’m Katie and I set up my Celebrant business in 2013 after several years as a Registrar of Marriages. This was where my love of personalised weddings comes from. I met many couples who would have much better suited a Celebrant-led Wedding Ceremony, especially one that could be totally tailored to them.
Nowadays I love creating and delivering bespoke ceremonies for super couples and families. And after 13+ years flying solo, performing nearly 400 weddings, I’m slowly reducing the number I take, and so the lovely Jo has joined me as an Associate Celebrant – she’s the perfect fit for my business.”

“I live in rural Kent with my husband and our black kitty Dora. To wind down after a full-on wedding day I love a glass of Prosecco or a yummy cocktail but I can’t start the day without several strong coffees!
I love to challenge myself daily with the puzzles in the NY Times app – especially Wordle and Spelling Bee. We enjoy fun nights out with friends and going to live music and comedy shows. As Francophiles we have plans to buy a motorhome and discover more of the country as we semi-retire. On TV I love Only Connect, The Traitors, MAFSUK, Taskmaster and our favourite – Only Murders in the Building!
My Celebrant ‘claim to fame’ is that I’ve appeared on four series of Married at First Sight UK. I’ve sung along with KT Tunstall at one of my wedding ceremonies and way back in the 90s I shared a Christmas dinner table in an Austrian ski chalet with the beautiful Rachel Weiss!”

“I’m Jo and I’m a midwife by background who’s worked in the NHS for the past few years. People are my passion! I’ve been absolutely privileged to share in some of the most special times that people can ever experience.
Lockdown changed things for many people including me, and led me to re-evaluate my work/life balance. I considered how else I could connect with people at unique and special times in their lives. I’ve had a long-held interest in all things weddings and I can unashamedly say I love love!”

When my time isn’t preoccupied by midwifery or weddings I love a challenge. I’ve undertaken a couple of 100 mile charity bike rides as well as climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2025 I hiked to Mount Everest Basecamp! I’m also not ashamed to say that I’m a Eurovision super-fan, and love my reality TV, especially Love Island and Married at First Sight.”
